Fellow vendors to supportPortland, Oregon, officiant Anna Socolofsky of Soco & Co (formerly Ecstatic Ceremonies) has officially launched Love School, a home for classes and events that help our community learn how to love well, together.
The first event will be a virtual vow writing workshop series. Participants will share how they're feeling about the process, learn strategies for customizing the vows portion of the ceremony, and have plenty of time to write. The classes are scheduled for Sunday 4/26/26, Thursday 5/21/26, and Wednesday 7/29/26. Tickets are offered on a sliding scale from $25 to $45 and included a vow writing guide. Learn more. *** Welcome in to Starshine Wedding Childcare! Starshine will travel to “most venues in Central Oregon.” They offer a number of childcare options. They also now offer their northwest Portland studio as a getting-ready space for elopement clients in the Portland metro area. *** Venue shout-out! The Heathman Hotel in downtown Portland, Oregon, is actively booking holiday parties and micro-weddings. Here’s a word from the hotel: “Newly renovated and full of timeless hospitality, The Heathman Hotel offers a warm and inviting setting … accommodating up to 60 guests seated or 150 for a flowing reception.” *** Portland, Oregon, venue The Evergreen has officially relaunched Voysey, their speakeasy-style basement bar, as a private event space. There’s no venue fees; just a per hour beverage minimum. Here’s a word from the team: “This intimate, design-forward setting is now available for welcome parties, engagement celebrations, afterparties, and gatherings of all kinds.” *** Welcome back to Oregon-based wedding planner Shi Choong! Shi took a nine-month pause from wedding planning “to pause, reflect, and heal from a difficult wedding planning experience” but she’s back and “ready to return to weddings with renewed clarity and intention.” Here’s a word from Shi: “This time away allowed me to reconnect with why I do this work. For me, weddings have always been about more than logistics or design. They are about people, connection, and creating meaningful experiences that truly reflect each couple.” Shi is looking to support fellow planners as a wedding coordinator or assistant. “I see this as a way to ease back in, collaborate, and continue building strong relationships within the vendor community,” she says.
